PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Network Telephone Corporation Pensacola , FL (03/00 - present)
Systems Engineer
As a CLEC startup company, many responsiblities have been placed upon me. I've been part of the development and research team for our nine-state ATM/IP network deployment, which included investigating several different ATM switch vendors such as Nortel Networks and Marconi/FORE systems.

I also did development of our customer-end VPN strategy and looked at several BSN companies like Shasta, Cisco, and Springtide. This was for PPPoE, PPPoA, and other subscriber management.

During all of the above, I also was in charge of deploying our FreeBSD server system for the companies email and webhosting needs. The project demanded us to 'think big' and expect highly loaded systems. It also needed to automatically generate the configurations and provision the system without human interaction. This was done with SQL databases and PHP scripting for the frontend.

Later I helped create the Internet Media and Development dept, and I became the lead Systems Engineer there. We controlled all internet-related activities.

Recently Advanced Network Services, our parent group, was dissolved and I was transfered into Network Operations where I continued the role as Systems Engineer and took on the additional responsiblities as Security Administrator.
